About the Author
Yvona Fast is an American author, journalist, and regional food columnist based in the Adirondacks. A former librarian, Fast is widely recognized for her weekly culinary column, “North Country Kitchen,” which has appeared in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Lake Placid News since 2005. This column ultimately inspired her seasonal cookbook, Garden Gourmet: Fresh & Fabulous Meals from your North Country Garden, CSA or Farmers’ Market. Fast co-authored the Holocaust survival memoir Good in the Midst of Evil (originally My Nine Lives) with her mother, Dana Fast, and contributes to the North Country creative community as a poet and the founder of Saranac Lake’s “Poem Village” event.
